Architecture
What we occupy.
The built environment is all around us. Whilst space informs culture, culture affects space. By focusing on the relationship between architecture and counterpublics we ask how buildings respond to a mixity of needs and more so informality. How do buildings enable or disable, incorporate or exclude informal realities? Interiors and exteriors call us to think about the opacity of some counterpublics, and at the same time, the exhibiting nature of others.
Think of:
Stores, interdependency, repurpose, exhibit, junctions, cornering, food culture, third place, responsive services, abandoned spaces, autonomous design
